CALSTAR
Saving Lives Every Day
CALSTAR is a regional nonprofit organization whose mission is "To save lives, reduce disability and speed recovery for victims of trauma and illness through rapid transport, quality medical care and education."
CALSTAR is available 24 hours per day to quickly transport trauma victims to the closest medical help. CALSTAR operates a fleet of helicopters and an airplane, all strategically based in Northern and Central California.
A CALSTAR membership is a prudent idea. It's very affordable and could help save you a lot of money if you have to be transported. Annual individual memberships start at $40 per year. Family memberships are only $45.
